Time to drop the kicker you drafted?

Every year it seems I draft a kicker, ride him out, then pick up a guy off waivers anyway.

I drafted Alex Henery and he has 12 points through 2 games.....

The Ravens, Lions, and Vikings kickers are all available in my league.

Too soon to dump Henery? How do you handle the kicker position?

I haven't drafted a kicker in 2 years. Draft an extra skill position during the preseason in hopes he gets an opportunity due to injury. If not, drop him the day before games start and pick up a kicker

That's actually a great strategy unless you are drafting online and it makes you fill the position.

....live drafts are where its at anyway.

You cannot predict a kicker's performance. As soon as you drop your guy he's going to go 7/7 on FGs.

I view kickers as all the same.

What website makes you fill the position? I know yahoo and ESPN dont. You just draft an extra player and it will go to your bench
