I wouldn't eliminate Saves but you could possibly replace it with Saves + Holds. That way you would put a premium on great relief pitchers no matter what role they had.

Just something that actually values good relievers. You could keep the saves component, but in another thread someone suggested doing something like Saves + Holds that way really good middle and late relievers could be worth rostering since they would also contribute in ERA, K/9, etc.

I just hate the closer grab, and I don't think it requires any actual skill.
