It depends on when you dropped him. A player stays a protected F/A for two days I believe. We do this in all of the other leagues as well. Maybe I'm not understanding the scenario.

someone dropped a player yesterday
i looked for player on Free Agent list to pick up. He wasnt there.
i went to transaction page and clicked on players name. I noticed in top right corner they had an option to "claim player".
I clicked claim player and it brought me to my lineup page to where i could release a player on my team.
i selected Sam Bradford to release, thinking it would store it away as a waiver claim until they were processed
Sam Bradford was dropped from my team immediately and no waiver claim was stored away.
i looked for player on Free Agent list to pick up. He wasnt there.

That's not how it should have happened. Either way, if you weren't rewarded another player I have no problem adding Bradford back to your squad.

check the transaction report, I wasn't awarded anyone.
my question is when do these guys become available? surely they cant be locked until next week, huh?

seems like there should be a waiver process.
J, the guy was dropped yesterday after the waivers had already processed. "by owner", as opposed through the wire

No, you can put a claim on them and they are rewarded after 2 days.

I can't do this after Wednesday...it will not allow me to put a claim in for a "restricted" player

yeah that is what my problem is. the guy is labeled as a protected FA and will come unprotected tomorrow afternoon. but at that point is he a FA or does a waiver process start?

a protected F/A and when you click on claim player (normally a check would go in the box) the player doesn't even appear in the player pool
