because there were so many teams, one of the allures of the big league was a huge payout for 1st. I think we voted on it before the season

I get where he's coming from, but at the beginning of the season, voting to say you don't play for second is the the reason 1st place deserves that much more.
In another league we voted that way. 75% of the pot to the champion. Now that I'm worried I might lose, I'm wishing second place paid more too.

$500 is still a really nice 2nd place prize for $100 buy in. That is why i agreed not to split.

fo real. if i made it to the ship, I'd be laid back knowing I still paid for my playoff tickets with one league's winnings and may have covered my entry fees. It would be more for pride.

need a good QB or the hot player that particular year
which would be Cam, who you traded for a QB that was drafted high, Rivers. So you've dabbled with both.
Tebow to a lighter extent was a hot FA that could carry you to a ship. 4th or 5th QB on average, per week.
