Sanchez is the best NL rookie hitter not named Heyward and Loney's numbers are solid. Not a ton of HRs but he's got like 27 RBIs, 6 SB, and he's batting 300.

last year I turned two waiver wire pick ups into Tommy Hanson and a first round pick....and we see how that turned out.

I've never seen someone go from sucking someone's dick to wanting to punch them in the a-hole like you've done with Liriano.

ETA: In a matter of days.

Liriano? I was talking Hanson.

But the same could be said for both of them.

And Haren too.

I think it was Beltran, Cueto, and a pick. Cueto has been money lately though.

Exactly - fleece, especially in a keeper league.

I probably better hold off. Right now Cueto and Danks are really my only legit keeper options at SP going into next year. Ervin Santana has been OK too.

I'd rather trade a bat for SP to be honest.

ETA: Good luck next year.

News: Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis, who has played in all but one game this season, could possibly sit for part of the interleague schedule, according to the Boston Herald. Manager Terry Francona stated that Youkilis was not an option at third base for Boston's series at Philadelphia, for which no designated hitter is needed. If DH David Ortiz were to play first base, that would push Youkilis to the bench, and that situation could come as soon as Saturday. The Herald reports that Ortiz has been told he will start the second game of the series with the Phillies.

Moral of the story: Terry Francona is a fricking moron. You don't sit Kevin Youkilis when he has a hot bat. End of story.

OK. The problem is that the players I would be interested in are at positions that I am already loaded at. Oh well.

i didnt sign off on this trade, fwiw

but he gave some good reasons to me to get rid of Beckett

he could have gotten more and not someone that will probably tail off significantly, but he has 3-4 young pitchers that he will end up keeping instead of Beckett.

and him being on the DL means he is hard to trade and get fair value, esp with a 7.00 ERA

he wanted someone now. He got Bautista. we'll see how it works

I need an arm and have too many OF's. If you offer I'll accept.
