to win a title with 4 players to replace guys like baron davis on your team
oh really? trading away LBJ guarantees me a title?
give me the trade that does that, and i'll pull the trigger.
nobody has come even close to doing that.
Until then, I'll continue to operate on CRAZY idea that having the best player in fantasy and being in 1st place (or at the very least being in the playoff hunt) gives me a chance to build a team that wins the title.

dwyane wade & bynum for LBJ/3rd
Posted on 2/9/12 at 3:47 pm to Lester Earl
for those two injury guys i'm not giving that high a pick.
but that's talking.
but that's talking.

so pitch it. i know you're being facetious, but LBJ doesn't miss games. neither wade nor bynum has been healthy for a full season maybe... ever?

It's a shame that I've won as many titles in this league as you have.

Wade has missed 4 games a year on average the last 3 years. Lebron has missed 3 games a year on average.
Bynum is showing no signs of lingering injury. Playing 34 MPG and would easily put you over the top since your big men are meh.
at some point you are going to need to start adding some capable players to your bench if you expect to win.

is this pile on me day because i don't want to give up Lebron? port stepped up to the plate and offered me Kobe and Dirk for Durant and I did it.
I have the second best record overall in TDBBL all time. I've had playoff teams that have fallen apart due to injury in each of the last three seasons.
and i'm currently in 1st place on a team in construction.
if you guys want to make good offers on Lebron start making them. But until you all come to the plate with someone good, I'll continue to bank on the guy who's been top 2 in fantasy for each of the last 5 years.

on average? how many has he missed this season and last?
why are there constant worries/conversations in the media about Wade's body breaking down? how many has he missed this year?
as for bynum, he's playing amazingly this season. But he might be traded. and has only had one complete season since he came into the league 7 years ago.
at some point, i will start adding players. but if that's going to come at the cost at Lebron, then i expect to be paid for him. Kobe and Dirk for Durant was the bar.
I'd consider Lebron and someone, but i'm also not trading picks.
i'd rather have Lebron and whoever I could net with a 3rd for a pick than Wade and Bynum.

suit yourself. Its not something im going to try and talk you in to.
well its going to have to, because i doubt anyone gives you much for Kobe or Dirk.
i doubt you get a better offer than what i just proposed. GLTY. your stubborness will prob cost you another shot at winning. 2 conteders today made huge moves.

I wasn't saying it to jab at you, really.
I suck at this, so I know why I don't have a title in the two years Ive been in the league.

I'm pretty happy w/Westbrook FWIW.

oh then i guess i'll just have to keep kobe who at #4 on the player rater, and dirk who's finally starting to play like dirk.
the only way i get better is trading lebron? i have no other pieces or picks?
oh and i have to do this all right now? it's the trade deadline?
if and when i see a trade that helps me win i'l make it.
ETA: you guys do realize that i'm in first/contention having operated down at least a roster spot for the entire season right?

Big matchup next week!! ETA it's actually the next two weeks since it's a short week due to all-star weekend.

Teams not in the playoffs are not going to take on Kobe or Dirk and give you much back.
and no one in the playoff hunt is going to blow up their teams to get those guys. Half the teams have already made "selling out" trades.

i think i have a pretty solid base LE. you really think that i should "blow things up"?
i need to drastically re-tool my team by trading my best player and most consistent performer across all categories, just so i can improve my 14-15 spots?
also fyi, i have a full complement of picks.

I've won this league twice....and I am not sure if i have ever had a top 3 player.
Posted on 2/9/12 at 4:55 pm to rondo
i've said it before and i'll say it again. this league is all about being healthy at the right time. it happened for ronnie mex and it's happened for you.
i like my team. i've liked my team this whole time. and if and when i see a chance to make my team better, i'll take it. the trades that i've been offered do not do that in a way that satisfies me statistically.
you guys thought i wouldn't trade durant either. but i did.
