Rondo seems to think that owners having a weighted but fair shot at draft position makes for a less competitive league.

Whereas I see owners actually having the incentive to keep playing during the season makes for a more competitive league.

i think this league has gotten way stronger owners than in the past. I do not think it's a foregone conclusion that we will continue to dominate this league. The Knats and Cwills and Gynes and Ports are too active/smart, and I think the current system only worked because we had some dumb owners for a while, and also people who were figuring out how to play TDBBL. I think they've figured it out now and this new system is the more fair way to do things going forward.

Let me just clear a few things up. You do not have a leg up on me. In year one I didn't know anything about fantasy basketball, but still managed to put together a pretty good team before trading players because I thought the season ended at the freaking all-star break. You finished 1st that year and I will give you props for that. Since then, you finished 4th and 5th. Untill this year your team has finished worse each season. You may or may not buck that trend this year.

My team went from 7th, to 5th, to 3rd. I have arguably had the best draft if you consider where my picks have been for 2 straight seasons. I chose to sell out this year, not because I didn't think my team was good enough to make the playoffs, but because I didn't think I had what it took to win. My thought process was, if I could just get one season where I not only have all of my picks, but I have even better picks, I would be in position to win the league - so that's what I did. My team being shitty had all to do with me chosing for it to be shitty.

And I don't care about keepers. I know they matter, but I am not after the prettiest group. Last year I went in with Mo Williams, Kidd, Troy Murphy, Aldrige, and Stephen Jackson as my keepers and still had a shot at winning the league.

So no disrespect to you, I know you are a good owner and I respect what you've done, but you don't have a leg up on me bro.
