I'm pissed that I don't have a higher waiver priority. Rubio would look good on my team.

I think you can handle it with 14 players, fwiw.

But JJ is gonna frick you, just like I told you he would.

Losing Rubio fricks my assists pretty hard.

Maybe if you re nice to me I'll wait til you re higher in the waiver to drop him.

It also sucks that I can't choose to sell out now. And start getting my picks back. Could that be the option? Player for picks trading is always allowed? Just allowed between non contending teams? That doesn't seem to work either.

Why do we even have a trade deadline again? Does it serve any real purpose?

It's one category. You are still the favorite.

And here is where the season gets stupid. And I either have to hold an injured player on my team for the rest of the year or give up one of my favorite players on my team, and give someone a keeper just for nothing on the wire.

That's just dumb.

I say it at this time every year. I think it's fricking retarded that non participating teams are given the ability to sell out, and then just vulture players, amass picks, and essentially be rewarded for losing.

Maybe a solution would be a rule starting next year past a certain point, after a team sells out, they re not allowed to participate in waiver wire/FA pickups. When you say that your season is over, maybe your season should be over.

My team is still the favorite after having to drop my #1 assists and steals guy? For a FA pickup? Regardless, my team being okay is irrelevant.

I would really like to address this Andy. You re the commish. Addressing this would make the league better. I pitched an IR for Keepers only spot and it got shut down without a vote. Now the very thing I was aiming to protect against is happening. I've lobbed out a couple of other solutions. Abolishing the trade deadline, or making non contendings inactive, or a supplemental bid system for dropped keepers.

What if this was for someone even better like DWill? That person would just have to give up. Bc they re completely hamstrung. These options aren't fair to anyone.

ETA: and like I said to prove that I legitimately think this is the right way to approach these, I am moving for these changes for NEXT season

I agree with what you are saying. it seems like we make 100 rules a year in the other fantasy leagues and when it comes to basketball it's like "who cares, whatever happens happens"

Two major issues never addressed:
1) Streaming/Large Game advantages for the week
2) IR

My idea for a conditional keeper IR I thought was a good one. You could put a guy on IR during the season but if you did, that guy was automatically slotted into a keeper role for next season and HAD to be kept, and couldn't be traded. It's like saying" okay. You really like this player and don't want to drop him? Commit to him right now". It gives an option but with a price.

If Rubio really has an ACL tear, that d be a gamble I'd have to decide on. Is he keep able going forward? How sure am I?

If I chose to drop him at that point at least I'd have an option. For major players like Durant it d be a no brainer.

i like if you put a player on IR they need to sit out x number of games no matter if they come back or not. Additionally if the player you put on IR plays a game while on IR the person you picked up to replace them is not eligible to accumulate any stats on the days played by the player on IR. This prevents streaming by just placing a guy on IR for some day to day type injury

The best thing to do, as Redd has suggested, is to address it the week after the season ends so it;s fresh on our minds. I agree, it sucks to lose a player like that right before the playoffs. I've also said the same thing since the league was created - it's retarded to lose a playoff matchup because another team had like 5 more games than you. We need to look at the schedule next year and try to determine a reasonable cap - one that doesn't prevent you from playing your guys, but prevents you from having more games AND being able to stream on top of it.

45 game cap seems reasonable.
15 players 3 games a week.

do we have to wait til the end of the season? People start checking out about now anyway. I didn't even follow the champeenships last year.

Knats IR isn't bad. But what if you have multiple players injured? I like the IR with a price idea. Also, the game limit would take away the need for the minimum stay rule

Let's talk about it while at least 6-8 of the teams are engaged.

Well I already pitched three separate proposals that all address that same problem in different ways. I'm also down for any game limit props.

-Abolish the trade deadline ( Why the frick is there a trade deadline? Why was it arbitrarily a week before the REAL deadline? Shouldn't it be a week AFTER?)
-Keeper IR
-If you keep the trade deadline, then non contending teams are no longer allowed to be active in FA/wire pickups. Part b) Non contending teams can bid draft picks for waived players post trade deadline.

How is me losing my second fave player to a possible ACL punishing me for picking up a player off the waiver karma?

I actually feel bad for the Twolves and Rubio. They had something going.
