TDBBL is proposing something like this...
Take current standings
7th place: $100 (money back)
6: $125
5: $150
4: $200
3: $225
2: $275
1: $325
It's a much cleaner break in that league because the top 7 were already locked in for the playoffs.
We need to decide if we are splitting the money between the current top 7 or including the teams that were still technically alive.
My vote would be to make it simple and just take top 7 current standings and do a similar payout.
Take current standings
7th place: $100 (money back)
6: $125
5: $150
4: $200
3: $225
2: $275
1: $325

We have a pretty clear top 6 so I dont think their payout should be affected.
If anything gets split it should be 7th place money between the 3 or 4 teams within shouting distance.

A few comments.
I was a lock to be regular season champ, which is $150 payout. My payout should at least be $150 more than the 2nd highest payout.
There's also an 18 game difference b/t 6th and 7th place. 7th place team is under .500. No reason to give 7th place buy-in back as a default playoff team, especially with 8-11 weren't trying to compete at all and are w/in 4 games.

That leaves $1250.
If 7-11 actually want something as they could have made the playoffs but would have gotten bounced out of the 1st they can split the $100 buy back. $20 each.
