also, i'm gonna say that i think we should propose and vote on a rule, since we're drafting so early and players are still changing teams, that we don't have to drop our extras until after exhibition season, not immediately after the draft.

We aren't expanding rosters just to temporarily. As soon as the league rolls over, we will add new players to their teams. What you are proposing is way too messy.

The rosters are huge already. I like the idea of having to make decisions without all the information, this is a dynasty league.

i just don't understand why we are always so in a rush?
it isn't enough for everyone to have already pre-claimed everyone?
why can't we watch things in ebb and flow WITH the NBA season instead of crampacking everything into the offseason. i'd like to see what happens with trades and exhibition? what players move to what team? who wins a spot in exhibition. the fricking teams haven't even decided who's making the team yet.
we're way early on everything and its annoying.

Yes it is, especially when they are traded.
We can either - drop players and add drafted players to the roster and allow them to be traded
or
allow fringe players to stay on rosters, keep rookies off of rosters for now, and try to manually track trades
The second option is not realistic.

so our adds and drops need to be done one month before training camp. makes total sense. just another reason that the fricking rookie draft shouldn't happen til exhibition season.
these are arbitrary rules that are being put in place without league consensus.
we should vote on these with a majority rules win.
if the motion doesn't pass that's fine. but just deciding isn't the way this league has worked before.

I tried, everyone was against me. So just play this offseason out and try to start things later next year if we can get enough support.
