Yes

Looks like a steal to me too.
Boom, set your lineup as if your playing gyne.
Gyne, I guess post if you'd start anyone differently if playing boom.
That way if there's a stat correction, we don't have a mess on our hands.

Would your opinion change if Gordon were in front of Kyrie when he stripped him?
Posted on 3/13/17 at 3:49 pm to Gtothemoney
Mine wouldn't.
Kyrie hadnt started a shooting motion when the ball was taken away.
But I don't watch as much NBA as I'd like. Could be a completely different rule.
If what Gyne posted is considered a block, then yes, it's a block

If Gordon was whistled for a foul would Kyrie have been awarded free throws? Your opinion.

guy has to be obviously into his shot for it to be a block.
From what I've seen, Most strips that happen where continuation would be enforced, have been ruled a steal.

Then I would think you can't steal a shot.
right?

It's almost like the actions after the fact dictate that tho.
At the time of the strip no way that's free throws, if fouled. But continuation where Kyrie continues to go into the shot, if fouled, yeh, they would have given him free throws.

Looks like NBA rule does have some subjectivity on this. It's on the statistician to determine if player was in the act of shooting, or in the attempt of a shot.
My the flopping after sold the block goal.

Def agree. I've watched many times that offensive players that picked up their dribble in the very initial phase of the shot (ball at waist level) then was stripped, the defender was credited a block. Kyrie sells the shot def helped the ruling.

Boomy has to flex his clout as a Rocket fan and talent scout, and get ahold of the Rocket stat guy and get the call changed.
Posted on 3/13/17 at 4:10 pm to Gtothemoney
There is no doubt in my mind he's shooting 2 if a foul is called on that play.
Appears he's shooting off the dribble which explains the low shot angle. Transition from dribble into a quick shot
* I haven't seen the live action though

I am glad Boom made you sweat a little. You were ultra confident going into last week and damn near lost.
That said you have a nice team and I wouldn't be shocked to win it all. We've got us a good final 4.
