Think it may have anything to do with they haven't actually run the payment yet? Your confirmation e-mail makes it seem like they did, but maybe it won't show for a bit longer.

our league is pretty big... i'm worried about the draft

There are enough good players in the NFL to accomodate 14 people. Problem is I may not know enough to notice them when my time comes to draft.

She said she was interested. I'm happy we got the 13 of us together so smoothly. Hopefully she gets signed up soon so we are even on teams.

we'll be fine, I'm sure she just got busy or something.

noticing that with 14 teams the divisions are broken into 8 and 6, where the teams in the 6 division have fewer games to play(3 bye weeks)...is this normal?
Posted on 8/11/10 at 9:29 pm to Iona Fan Man
Why couldn't it be 7 and 7 with each team having two bye weeks?

how is the draft order going to be determined?

I tried to make a payment and got the same confirmation email, but my payment hasn't posted either. Maybe it's b/c it's an e-check, it takes longer? I don't recall it taking this long in my other league. But if someone else got the same email, I feel better about it.
Yeah, I noticed that on the divisions - for some reason, it won't let me make it 7 v. 7. I'll keep working on it.

What would everyone think about eliminating divisions altogether, and then we have a round robin with 1 bye each?

I had to google PPR earlier under the scoring thread to see what it even meant.

yeah, otherwise I'm drafting only players with week 4 & 7 Byes...full strength er'week

OK, no more divisions - but it didn't give anyone a bye, so everyone will play 1 particular opponent twice. It's completely random.

how is the draft order going to be determined?
quote:PPR is 'point per reception' - so on top of points for yards and touchdowns, each player gets a bonus point for every reception they make. Not that big of a deal, but it should change your strategy a little bit. In a PPR league, you'll want to place a premium on short-yardage or slot-receivers who may not have 100 yards every game, but will get several receptions. Also, running backs who get thrown to in short-yardage situations are also very valuable. This doesn't mean you should base your draft around this, but should be things to consider when deciding b/t 2 players when all else is relatively equal.
