Standard Scoring

Jared Cook, Saints vs. Packers
TJ Hockenson, Lions @ Cardinals

My head says Cook, but he was such a non-factor last night (even scoring a TD) with Brees checking down nearly every play that I'm scared to play him again.

Hockenson is doing ok and is only seeing a 12% target share. If that were to rise he should really shove

Monitor Jack Doyle’s status and there is a path to Mo Alie Cox becoming a thing. Former basketball player at VCU. Phillip Rivers potential Antonio Gates, went 5/111 last week

I’d still go with Cook by the way

I feel like Singletary will get more touches.

I think you’re right, although I like how involved Swift is in the passing game. Apparently he is expected to be the starter by midseason but they are going easy on him since he missed most of camp.

Cook, IMO. NO will have to throw a good bit, I think. Also, Isaiah Simmons makes it difficult for TEs to see a lot of success against Arizona, but there is also garbage time potential for Hockenson.

I'm just worried all those throws will be to RBs.

I’ve been eyeing Mo Cox. Would you waste a #3 WW position on him. I currently have Ertz

Yes. Theirs only 1 or 2 tight ends a year that are worthy of waiver. They are rare

That’s what I’m thinking. Last season I snagged Waller in all my leagues after week 1. Would love to see that kind of production from Mo. Doyle just worries me

You mean De’vondre Campbell. Isaiah is his backup and has been a liability. Campbell has been their tight end and rb coverage specialist

I’m not sure if he can unseat a healthy Doyle but he gets a chance to shine another week, he may just run with that job. Better to add now then be behind. That said, maybe he slips through waivers?

I mean they might end up being about 50/50 but I dont see any real reason why Doyle is preferable to Mo. I've never been high on Doyle

You probably know more than me. What am I missing on Doyle?

One of the top run blocking TEs in the league on a team that wants to establish it, and he’s
on decent sized contract. MAC would have to steal the job to be viable, bc I don’t believe both are sustainable sharing snapa

Thanks for the explanation. I'm guessing they don't run much 2 TE formation for the run game. Rivers has had a pass catching tight end his entire career. Whoever gets the majority snap should put up some decent numbers this year.

They ran 12 personnel about 25% of the time last year. Frank reich was in philly with ertz and goedert, who knows, may see more of it

Makes sense to me. Would help open up holes for Taylor while reducing the need for him to pick up as many blocks in the passing game. I'd love to see Phil in a 2 tight end set 30-40% of game
