I honestly did not expect the $100 to be the deal breaker. It's always been the norm for leagues I play in, even dating back to when I was in college.

You are paying for 8 months of what will likely be an exciting, back and forth rotisserie league that could come down to the last day of the season.

With first pitch a month away, you guys cannot save an extra $25 a week? I realizes not everyone wants to drop "serious coin" on fantasy baseball, but that was kind of the purpose of the league

I'll play. I don't post regularly on this site, but I'd become more active in the league season long thread.

League terms & rules in the OP are fine with me.

Gyno, doing a little research before deciding (if this is even proceeding). Are the standard budgets $260 and will it be that for this league?

From ESPN
quote:

Leagues which use Auction to draft are setup with a preset budget ($260) to spend on a set number of players (25-man roster).

Yes, I went with $260 when I set up the league on ESPN

Ok

Im going to set the draft for next monday, the 24th. It gives owners a week to read up on auctions and players etc.

Im sending TTown an invite too.

MWG, I should know your email by now, but hit me with it one more time.

Sounds good. I'd prefer to draft as late as possible but 7:30 is ok.

Hosmer drafted at $18 pre-2013; gets dropped by frustrated owner; Hosmer gets picked up off of FAAB for $28 in a $200 FAAB budget. How much does Hosmer cost to keep?

And it's the best fantasy format on this board, yet no one wants to play.

I thought the Fantasy Board was full of fantasy pundits?

Meh. Im trying here, buddy. I didn't realize everyone was scared to commit $100 and to try something "different".

Once he is dropped, his new price is whatever he is acquired at during the FAAB process.

So I would say $28. Would you agree? These are the little things I like to get input on.

Baseball isn't like football. Too many leagues are tough to handle.

This one can be a good one, though. Got a good core of founding fathers thus far

I agree with this - keeping the players at their most recent value that they were purchased at will make things easier as we get into multiple seasons (assuming this league takes off! Ha).
