I only remember the first year winner.. me.
Just got home and saw all the scores. Damn at Tuck's. Long time til that score gets beat.

That fricking shattered the record. 55 points from one player helps

Just checked score for first time since about 3:00 when I was pretty sure I was going to win at that point no matter what. Jamaal had scored 2 REC TD's at that point and I felt good. When I saw the final just now my first thought was, "Holy shite!" My second thought was, "Really wish I could have saved this game for next week."
Seriously though...if I'm not mistake, that is the most points ever scored in the SEC Rant fantasy league, ever. Hopefully, my team can keep it up going into next week.

I like your chances better than mine.

At the half way point of the season it didn't look like evolve had a chance, now he could win it all

It is.
Unless you count the college one we did, in which I had 212 that one time.
eta - BRING IT HOME FOR BAMA!!!
And good luck to the two of you next week. Could be a really good and close one.

Next year is my year, whoever I take in first round will suck again

injury bug and bad benching cost me this year.

I made 1 bad trade and the mistake of dropping Emmanuel Sanders early in the year.
My downfall - it all started around the time that I lost Blackmon/Wayne/Murray --- I traded Murray b/c I thought he might get hurt again. Had I never lost the two receivers I might still be in it?

Tuck did this despite losing Julio and Brady having a down year. I really thought GBO would win it with Manning but he ran into Tuck at the wrong time

So are we still doing keepers or what?
Posted on 12/16/13 at 6:13 pm to AubieALUMdvm
Not till next year I believe

That's too bad. I was really hoping to keep Trent Richardson

If you check out the fantasy points in our league and include all players Jamaal Charles has 320 points. The next closest running back is Forte with 257.2. Not only that, but if you look at all positions, he's second overall to Peyton Manning. That is ridiculous for a running back. Jamaal was a straight up beast this year...just like I predicted.
It really is pretty rare for me to be this high on a player pre-draft and get it right. I'm usually off on my first rounders. I did get Rice correct the year he went off and I got him in the 5th or 6th round.
I'm also proud of my Eddie Lacy pick this year. I always knew he was the best of the three. I was saying he was better than T Rich and Ford the year they all signed out of high school based on just his high school film. It was the best I had ever seen (I had not seen Devine's film nor Reggie Bush's). I've seen a lot of good players in high school but Lacy's high school film shocked me and I couldn't understand why he wasn't more highly rated. I know it was due mainly to his grades and off the field issues now, but still he's a 5 star talent easily.

quote:I wouldn't be opposed to doing it this year but the problem is we aren't stable enough as a league. Every year we swap someone out and I dont' think it's fair to that new person to be stuck with whoever the preceding year drafted. Until we get 12 that we can count on for the next year OR someone who will come in and agree to keep one of the players from the preceding year on who he would be taking over for, I just don't know how it would work out. You got any other ideas because I've never done a keeper league? Seems hard to do without some stability year to year.

Well to be fair....
Ball So Hard is only one we will need to replace it appears and he has
Brandon Marshall
Marshawn Lynch
Andre Johnson
Hakeem Nicks
Cam Newton
So at least whoever takes his position could have 5 potential keepers and if TTsTowel does it he can have Cam

How does the keeper work? Do you pick the player to that you keep in the same round that you picked him at the previous year? so when that round comes up, you don't make a pick you just keep whoever your j keeper was.? like if I kept lacy I wouldn't make a pick in the 4th round?
Posted on 12/17/13 at 2:32 am to tuck
Depends every keeper round I've been in has been different.
Some are just like that you forfeit the round that you picked that player. Others have tweaked it in say if you drafted a keeper in first 2 rounds you lost a pick in second round, next 2 a pick in 4th and so on.
So Tuck where is my cut?
I dropped Foles after he killed me that one game (would figure his worst game would be when I played him)
I drafted and dropped Jeffery after he started slow
I went after Vincent Brown instead of Allen taking someone on the FF Boards opinion, that he had been in system longer and Rivera was more comfortable with him.....
My bad decisions molded your championship team

I'd ideally see it work as you get to keep in the round you drafted the player. WW pickups are like drafting in the 15th round.
The final looks to be pretty good this year. Two teams that got hot at the right time. Good luck to the both of you, but I'm leaning Tuck to win it all.
