compared to you looking at what players would help you win the close categories you are fighting for and wanting to sub those in?
i assume you picked up Campana on the 7th in order to play him the next day. But cant give you much more than that.

I was chasing runs and steals.
I definitely would've started Campana yesterday.
Willingham didn't play today, Stubbs would've been in there in the OF considering I was chasing those cats.

you were also chasing or trying to hold onto RBI too though. So cant assume you would have played stubbs over Willingham

Im talking about today.. WIllingham didn't play. I would have taken him out of my lineup in favor of someone who was playing.
my OF options were Campana (didnt play), Stubbs (option), Mastorinni (option), Plouffe and Swisher were options but have been on my bench because they were sucking.

my point is it is impossible to know if you would have known willingham was out before the games locked.

Ive held Salvador Perez all year. I wouldn't just drop him for Campana and not start Campana if he was in the Cubs lineup
