Upton has 1.5 years under his belt, had shown major improvement from year 1 to year 2, and is like 22 or 23 and on the verge of becoming a superstar.
Lind is 4 years older, and had his best power season at any level after just being able to land a full time job at a late blooming age.
cause for concern.
10th OF isnt bad anyway. HE just isnt top 5.
if he has another season like last, i'll be ready to talk about being top 5.
Upton's upside is wayyyy higher and is more of a sure thing

well gyno last night ripped me again for harping on projections, then went and posted STATS from last year as to why grienke was as good as lincecum
so i post linds STATS from last year, and now it doesnt matter for him?

you are missing the point; everyone passed him up a few times and didn't draft him. If they considered him a top 5 OF, i think he would have went off the board earlier.
Point is, you are going to pass him along as a top 5 OF when no one else in this league thought he was worthy of that status. In other words, your trade value of him is wayy to high.
It has nothing to do with me taking Justin Upton. And it was hardly a reach.

i'm always weary of potential 1 year wonders.
Grineke has been touted as top pitching prospect for years. And if you watch him pitch, his stuff is almost equal to Lincecum. Not to mention Lincecum's velocity is down this spring.

But Strasburg> Latos, so swapping a young SP I value more wouldn't make much sense.
Blanks could put up similar power numbers as Pena in a few years IMO.
