Paid Dynasty League stability - higher vs lower league fees

Any of you big ballers of TD who may be in some higher buy-in leagues (call it $100+ per season) find that those leagues generally have more stability and fewer orphaned teams?
Been dabbling with the idea of ponying up for a higher buy-in league to add to my portfolio but I typically punt the first year in my startups so I don’t really want high odds of flushing a few hundred down the toilet instead of just throwing it at DraftKings lol.
Thoughts?
