Need some advice on handling next week for two different leagues.

So I clinched a bye in two of my leagues this week and next week, I face a team who needs a W and a little bit of help to get into the playoffs. Their rosters are not that impressive to begin with and if they do make the post season, I'd face them in the playoffs.
Same issue for both leagues, so do I play my bench guys and give them the W or should I just play to win?

Only way this would be a good idea is if by allowing them to win you keep out another borderline team who has playmakers with an easy playoff schedule

Did this the past 2 years. Worked out wonderfully. The ultimate goal is to win the league, if that is a step towards that goal then do it.

This strategy really depends on the people, structure, and foundation of your league.
What I mean by this is that, it's not against any rules, so as long as you are starting a full roster (as in, don't pull players and start no one, that's an absolute no no) you are entitled to do what you think is best for your team. However, if this is a new league, or one that is sort of just thrown together where people are not that committed to it, I wouldn't do it. This type of move could cause a league to fall apart, could piss people off and have them not pay and/or demand entry fees back, etc.
On the flip side, if this is a league that has been around for awhile and everyone is committed to it than I think it's fine. In that situation, people will likely understand that it's just strategy and appreciate it.
So I think you just need to read your league mates and determine if it's worth trying this or if it's going to cause an issue.
