I drafted him as my WR3 (PPR)

My roster is devastated with injuries and I have no room to add another WR to play this week.

Would you drop him for any of these guys:

Tee Higgins (I like his upside)
Brandin Cooks
Shenault Jr
Kirk

I like Higgins and Shenault as speculative adds but not touching the other two. They're basically what you already have in Jones.

Was it a rage drop or did you need the bench space?

He hasn't seen my lineup once. So not rage, just need the space. Have a bunch of qbs on my roster since I don't have one and players like Mattison/Edmunds on waivers. ( I own Cook).

I have him in a league, and while it depends who is on waivers, I'm probably going to drop him. If I were you, I'd drop him for Higgins.

I'll be dropping him in a league this week most likely.

Marvin Jones is basically useless unless he gets a timely 50 yard TD bomb. Dude has always put up stat lines like 3 catches, 80 yards, 1 TD in his most productive games.

You’re basically banking on that one big play. If not, expect 1-3 points at most

He finished like WR8 or 9 a couple years ago, so that's not entirely true

He's been absolutely arse this year though, dropped him everywhere I had him.

He's a very boom or bust player. He's 8 points or 20+ in PPR.

I had Marvin as my flex, but I looked into it, and it's somewhat rare that he even hits 6 catches or 60 yards lol. He has scored at least one TD in roughly 1/3 of his Lions games. Just gotta hope that hits.

I’ve been a MJ owner for 3 seasons. I would be shocked if he had more than 4/5 catches during his best games in that one season he did finish that high. Dude is quite literally the reason the term “boom or bust” exists

I don’t ever remember thinking “Damn, Marvin Jones is killing it this game”. It’s usually, “Damn, I wish Marvin Jones would catch another 40 yard TD bomb like he did the first quarter”. And it usually didn’t happen lol

Marvin Jones is what he's always been. He'll have 2-3 weeks per season with a multiple touchdown 40 burger and be worse than mediocre in the rest of them. He'll finish as a top 30 WR due to said 40 burgers and will be drafted too high again next year. That's just who he is. Higgins and Shenault have better floors. their ceiling won't be as high week to week, but they probably both outscore Jones on a weekly basis for 75% of remaining games. Kirk is the same player as Jones from a fantasy perspective
