Jamal Lewis tore his ACL in the preseason. He bounced back nicely.
Brown tore his in week 7. He was never the same after that. Hasn't went over 214 carries or 1k yards cine 2008.

Yea the 2008 year was the year after tearing the ACL though which is this year for Peterson.
Deuce McCalister also went for over 1000 and 10 TD's the year after he tore his ACL too, but not so good after the second tear.
So Peterson can do it.
