I thought the blocked punt points didn't go against your D or is that a "special teams play" and is considered your team D on the field???

I know a pick 6 does not count against your team D...

Blocked punt TDs count towards the points allowed for the team defense. Sucks but that is how it is.

It's a special teams play same as even when the pick 6 doesn't count against you, the XP does.

I wondered the same thing for a minute, but yeah it was technically against the Baltimore special teams. If they had gotten a fumble TD the play before on 3rd down, it wouldn't have counted.

These are different.

An INT returned for a TD + an XP will count 1 point towards the defense.

A blocked punt TD + an XP will count 7 points towards the defense.

Let me try a different approach with this. On an extra point, are both team's special teams on the field? On a punt, are both team's special teams on the field?
