I landed the first pick in my 14 team keeper league.

14 team Head-to-head standard scoring league
4 keepers per team

My Keepers:
Steven Kwan
Ty France
Daulton Varsho
Bryan Reynolds

Best Available Players with Keepers removed: (in random order)
Max Scherzer
Justin Verlander
Shane Bieber
Dylan Cease
Freddie Freeman
Trea Turner
Kyle Tucker
Manny Machado

I'm definitely leaning towards a pitcher, but the top available pitchers are getting up there in age.

Any input in appreciated!

Don't draft for this year, draft for the next few years- your team probably isn't going to be very good if those are your 4 keepers.

Like Papz said, it's either Tucker or Turner.

Turner
Tucker
Freeman
Machado
Scherzer
Verlander
Bieber
Cease

Draft bats 1,2,3 and then worry about pitching in the 4/5 turn. You’d be amazed at what you can pull off with mediocre names in your rotation.

If you’re going to play this long term and not knowing your keeper rules, draft young like the above poster mentioned. Maybe grab a guy like Corbin Carrol or Gunnar Henderson with your 5th pick. It’s early for them at that spot but you could do far worse. If you do go Turner first, you need HR and RBI at 2/3.

Kwan gets you Runs and AVG. Varsho gets you multi positions.

Thanks for the input!

The first year a player is kept their keeper round is where they were drafted the year before. The second year and beyond you have their ADP and their previous keeper round from the year before.

Last year my two big name pitchers were beuhler and Alcantara. I traded Alcantara for picks and beuhler is hurt.

I guess is should have posted my keepers rounds.
Varsho 8th
Reynolds 9th
France 12th
Kwan 19th

And I have two 5th round and two 8th rounds picks from the Alcantara trade.

ETA: I do have Henderson as a player to target.

Machado and Tucker for sure. OF and 3rd base are the shallowest positions followed by 2B. Don’t think keeping Turner in a H2H points league is a smart move.

1B is also really deep so I would assume there’s a better one available to draft than Ty France. For instance, Andrew Vaughn is really young and talented.

Update: by standard scoring, do you mean h2h pts or categories?

Tucker for sure if you can keep forever. As someone else said, with your keepers you’re probably not winning this year. Take a flyer on players for future seasons: Jackson Choiro, Cam collier etc

Took this route and drafted Gausman, Framber Valdez, Pablo Lopez, Dustin May, Jesus Luzardo.

Needless to say the strategy is working well so far.

Hey I said your team wasn't going to be very good BEFORE you gave the additional context- keeping those players for mid to late round picks is very different than how I interpreted your OP.

Congrats on your championship!
