I'm pretty happy with my bench pitchers. I did make a conscious decision to split my bench 3 and 3 though, and I drafted 7 SPs before thinking about RPs.

pitching is usually easy to trade for, but im not sure anyone is going to want to get rid of any bats with such slim pickings.

I love my bench bats.

I think I'll be able to move those for arms with ease

Saunders goes from Safeco to the Rogers Centre? Hello 20/25.

I like my bench bats too. I've got a couple guys I really like on the bench like Napoli and Seth Smith (on the better side of a platoon in Seattle).

Yeah, I'm definitely short on pitching and minor leaguers. But I think I can compete with Wheeler, Lynn, Fister, McHugh, Martinez (hopefully starts), and Tillman. Maybe I can get something out of House, Norris, and Meyer this year as well.

Should be a fun league. I'm looking forward to it.

With people locking up MI, it makes me feel better I was able to get Kinsler with pick 87. I actually tried trading up to get him so I'm glad it fell through. The other part of my MI is what worries me about most of my team.

I try to lock up certain aspects, before positions. Abreu - pop, Stras/Harvey - young ace, Hamilton - steals then hope OBP and SLG fall in my favor.

When those ran thin I'm a sucker for potential. Flores is projected for a floor of 12-15 HRs and Pompey is supposed to be a compliment to Hamilton on the base paths. If either of those fall through then I'm in trouble with such a shitty bench.

Pitching only came back on to my radar after my studs bc like others have said, you're going to need some to hit that min IP limit. Jansen felt like the right place to take an elite closer and Giles felt like value at pick at 234 compared to your guy Betances 100 picks earlier.

As far as MiLB players. I knew I wasn't going to have a SS and even if he doesn't stick there, I love Seager. I'm not a fan of prospecting SP, I just liked Reyes's stuff and potential.

Overall I love my team IF I'm right about a couple of guys. But I'm sure many can say the same thing.

I still think the Mets add a ss. I don't think they're content w Flores there

Then Jordy Mercer is my starting SS. uggh. like I said, it was a gamble I wanted to take because of his potential with the bat. If the Brewers could trot out Betancourt with a straight face, I can only hope the Mets decide to do the same.

Otherwise, Flores will be another Peter Borjous sized notch in my drafting belt.

Even as an Astros fan, I am still not sure what to expect from him this season. Some regression is expected, obviously, but he was ridiculous in the second half of last season. He throws a lot of pitches to get guys out which often made him leave games early, but other than that he rolled. Something like 10 QS in his last 12 starts and only gave up more than two runs twice in those starts while maintaining a 9 K/9 ratio.

What's the talk of Davis/Parra in the OF?

Probably the same as last year. If Davis struggles, Parra sees more platoon time. They're thinking we might have seen what Davis is at this stage, so Parra is an expensive 4th OF/insurance policy they won't let rot on the bench.

Davis starts out hot so you should feel relaxed for a while. Or you can just wait until Braun is hurt again.

My expectations are tempered. I'd love a repeat, but I'm fine with some regression.

Im gonna rank in tiers. Top, middle and bottom. This is just based off what I see for 2015. But I will also comment on future prospectus.

TOP TIER

Gyno: I wasn't infatuated with Macahdo at 1.18, but he is one of the youngest players taken in the first 5 rounds. I think he has all star level potential, but not sure he's that superstar you are hoping to land in Rd1.

With that being said, the OF of Cargo, Upton, and Ellsbury is hard to beat. Duda and Zunnino provide sneaky power. Keep an eye on Granderson, Teix, and Michael Bourn for possible rebound years. Any little thing will help in a league this deep.

Only has 5 starters, but it's 5 guys I like. Cliff Lee as arguably your 5th guy? I'll take.

Future Outlook: This isn't a very old team, a lot of guys in their prime. As far as prospects, I really like the arms, and Micah Johnson may break with the Sox this season. Great SB guy.

Papz: Took a similar approach to Gyno, but his core players are a little older. Led by Miggy, Hanley, and Cano, that is a strong core. VMart & Josh Hamilton injuries are tough, but you take that risk with older players.

His pitching is led by the older Wainwright, but it still looks like he has some juice left for another year or 2. Gio, Tehearn, and McCarthy fill out what is a solid rotation for our league size.

Future Outlook: Outside of Wil Myers and Teheran, really lacks young impact MLB players. Glasnow, Nola, and Peraza shouldnt be far from the MLB, however.

TTown: Landed some really great power bats, in E5, J. Bats, and Big Papi. Some aging guys, but they can still swing. Alex Gordon is steady, and i wouldnt rule out 25 HR from Morse.

On the pitching side, Yu is his SP1? After that, he has Ryu, then some major questions. However, he is going to line up Greg Holland and Aroldis in his pen, as well as Benoit & Melancon, so im interesting to see how that plays out.

Future Outlook: Has no younger MLB players that I would covet. Drafted 9 minor league bats, and only 1 pitcher. Not sure of that strategy, considering his SP situation.

Barry: Didn't land any great players, imo, but several good hitters. AGon, Nelly, Pence, Adam Jones. A healthy Jayson Werth would ice it. That is a nice core of hitters.

Pitching is solid, i like Cole Hamels and Smyly. Never was a fan of Homer, but he has his moments. Sabathia, CJ Wilson, and Hellickson are interesting late round fliers, but Im not sure they have anything left.

Future Outlook: took Kris Bryant at 1.14, hopefully a future cornerstone. Has 3 or 4 other top 100 prospects. His team isnt overly old, but some guys are close to leaving their prime.

Reddman: I really like this team on paper, but it has the chance to implode with some of the oft-injured guys he took. Tulo, Kemp, Votto all need to stay healthy. All could be top 40 players. Zobrist, Carpenter, and Montero are steady at their position. I really like AJ Pollock this year.

King Felix anchors the staff, followed by young arms Cobb and Cashner. Talented, but not exactly tried and true. If he can get anything from Bauer, that would certainly help. Relievers are good.

Future Outlook: His team isnt old, per se, but as i said, injuries have been a problem for several of his guys. King Felix's innings will be a concern in the coming years, imo. Prospects look good on the pitching side. HItters are just OK.

Gonna type of the middle tier now. Its gonna be rather big.
