yah, it doesn't matter too much to me.
I think players that ended the year on the 60-Day should be eligible immediately to be on the DL.
But I ain't sweating about it. Let's just vote.
Like I said before, I didn't draft A.J. Griffin with the hope of stashing him and rushing to the wire to pick up Alfredo Simon.

In other words, if a guy isnt on the 60 day DL. then he has to be removed from the roster.
No poll needed. Go with what the rules say already.

Remove the poll, Barry. It isn't necessary. The constitution already addresses the issue. End of discussion.

Is anyone left on the 60 day dl in the offseason?
Posted on 2/9/15 at 12:21 pm to rondo
I said 5 pages ago guys on DL at the end of the season can carry over to the offseason. I don't even care if it's a 15 day DL
As it always has thiigh, it should not be put into place until next season. Or do we want to start amending rules on the fly?

The constitution cannot be amended?

Nope. Rules are rules.
Deal with it.
Deal with it.

I'm sick of this topic. It's not even a major issue, but some have decided to dig their heels in over trivial shite. Just go with what the rules actually say and be done with it.

so the answer to some teams placing players on the DL before others is deal with it?

Sorry dude. It's just the way it goes sometimes.
Tough break.

After reviewing the established rules, I agree with Redd, my proposal is the exact same thing as the rules.
No players are on ML DL list in the offseason, therefore they can't be placed on the DL on your team during the offseason.
They don't have to be removed if they were there at the end of the season though because its only a penalty if you have an illegal lineup, which you can't have unless there is a game.

No need to get upset , we're just sorting shite out.
There's a lot of money on the line. I don't think any rule is trivial. It's important to settle on something

I just found this while looking up Victorino's eligibility that some may find interesting.
(10/31/14) The Red Sox have activated outfielder Shane Victorino from the 60-day disabled list.
Players can't remain on the 60-day DL during the offseason in order to shore up 40-man rosters. Victorino had back surgery in August. He can return to the 60-day disabled list near the start of next season if he still needs to recover.

If you're going to the rules in place now, no player should be allowed on the DL in the offseason, even if they were there to end the season. Pretty cut and dry there
Having a legal \ illegal roster is irrevelvant to the DL rule

Yep just further proof that offseason DL is imaginary
Still the 60 day DL is something that categorizes a pretty serious injury.

I need clarification here....
At the end of this season if I have a guy on my DL that is also on the MLB 60 day...can I keep him on my DL all offseason?

Yeah, for me, Choo ended the season on the 60 day DL but has since been activated.
