Agreed, except for the minor league DL option. But I'm not gonna fight something that has little to no bearing on the league makeup.

Wieters is likely to be active to begin the year.

Might be better to implement rule after opening day this year (21 words).

Players have already been put on waivers. I'm assuming it will run tonight.

I didn't draft A.J. Griffin with the hope of being able to stash him on the DL; I wanted him on my team.

It's no big deal to me to be able put him on the DL, and rush to the waiver wire to pick up Alfredo Simon.

That is why we have this deep of a league.

But my vote would be players that ended the year on DL, should be eligible to be on the DL through the offseason

If you have 2 or more TJs you'd still be dumping players to accommodate them. In one of my leagues they have an expanded 43 man roster during the offseason to allow for the 3 DL spots to be held, but after the start of the season those spots need to be occupied by guys designated on the DL and they go back to 40 man rosters.

I have a bunch of cross-league players also so I could be fricked from multiple angles. But yeah, I enjoy getting in on the ground floor.

whats the big deal about having to dump players?

i guess the better question is why should you be able to keep them? There is no DL in the offseason

We have DL spots for a reason. And this is a dynasty with a long-term perspective. If a productive player stubs his toe and needs surgery. Then he's on the DL or you need to eat a roster spot (which eliminates the premise of the DL spot). If we're going to have DL spots designed to allow keeping hurt players, that should apply during the offseason, if necessary. My point is we can regulate the possibility of it being abused while keeping the original intent in place.

well yea, for in season.

Not to guess who should or shouldnt be eligible for that spot when no games are being played
