It is a "forever" league. There really isnt any wrong or right way to go about it.
There certainly is a wrong way to do it.

Would you prefer King or jose in a dynasty?
Let me interject a little bit.
Felix is 28, not 38. Its not like hes gonna be out of the league next year.

Don't get me wrong...I LOVE me some Jose Fernandez.
Apparently I need to re-calibrate.
I had no clue the minors and injured dudes would go this early.

Same, my strategy has already gone down the drain.

ill sacrifice a month or 2 on the shelf for a 22yr old who is already one of the top pitchers in baseball. He even got his tommy john out of the way

It's not the age for me, it's the innings
For example, a guy like Scherzer is 31 and has 800 less innings then Felix. That's 4 seasons worth of work
Again I'm not hating. You and rondo acted shocked he was still there.. Just wanted to point out he wasn't unanimous top SP

Same. I debated taking him over Desmond.

Seriously?
No pick has shocked me save bogarts

My grandma gets on base more than Ian Desmond.

Buxton for me. He hasn't done much outside of low A ball and is atleast a season and a half away from majors.

I'd lean Jose.
King is a beast, but those innings do scare me.
Without looking at stats, I'd say Jose was putting up Felix numbers as a rookie, no?

King was 4th on my big board of pitchers. I agree he does know how to pitch, even if he loses velocity.
But 2,000 innings at 28 is a shite ton of innings. That's what Verlander just hit(tho 2 years older in age) and we saw how he struggled last year.
I think Felix at least has another 2-3 peak years.

I'll have 2-3 FSBDL titles by then.

Well yeah, that's why I'm planning on taking her next.

Altuve finished #1 on ESPN's player rater and was consensus top 10 in most league. I dont think he'll repeat but he is pretty solid. Id take him before Desmond
as for Bogaerts, he's 22 and struggled a little bit, but expert that talks about him really hypes him up as NEXT
for me Bautista is prob the biggest shock, only because of his age. But he has the production so its hard to argue over that.

I felt the upside was just too great. Would hate myself if he turns out to be the guy who everyone projects this time next year.
