Do somethinh like locking their minor league roster for a year and dock the picks

funny how it worked out....papz lost his picks and still wound up with the consensus #1 prospect

Well he still had to give somethinh up. Essentially a player swap
But it's too easy to jump in the draft if you want. And there are too many good players available, you don't even need draft picks. I just picked up a few pitchers I had slotted ahead of almost all drafted pitches
I think locking the MiLB roster works. Can't pick up any guys, can't move guys back and forth

MiLB roster expansion would fix that.

frick it. Let's expand it by 5 and let anyone be drafted. You can draft some 14 year old in Cuba, college kids, high school studs, japanese players, some 4 year old you saw playing tee ball with an 80 hit tool, etc.

I wanted 15 from the beginning so I'm all for it. I would be a little red-assed to have extra spots right after dropping some of my surplus prospects for others to grab. But overall, hell yeah.

I would entertain expansion of the farms, but only with the same rules that are currently in place.

Going to be a dick here and vote no, at least for this year.
I passed on my draft pick when I was debating taking Whitley.
Next year, yeh I don't care

Yea there are already 200 guys rostered. That's like a quarter of the amount of active mlbers

I was mostly joking in my post, I thought that was obvious. I could go either way.

I agree

I think next year would be fair for everyone. We don't have to go 15 but at least a few more rounds would increase the value of draft picks and dilute the free agent prospect pool a bit.

Once the season starts it will all sort itself out. Once promising guys fizzle out, they are dropped and replaced
The 2015 guys haven't proven anything one way or another. Their potential is skewing people's view into thinking they need more spots
I think 10 is perfect. You are supplementing a small MLB roster, you really don't need or even have room for 15

Well, you are saying that draft picks are pretty much pointless. I'm suggesting a solution.

No, I was saying they are pointless to use as a penalty for people doing what you did

I guess.
