Tony Gonsolin is throwing absolute heat right now, up to 98, but will probably get relegated to the bullpen because the dodgers are stacked.

Yeah, I was just joking in that Dunning post. Im not really that optimistic on him (yet). I never considered him more than a solid #3 SP before his TJ. Without any real game footage of him post surgery, I'm very curious of how he looks tonight. I'll be tuning in for sure.

Dunning should have never been sent out for the 5th inning. He cruised through 3 but really struggled to get through the 4th. Fell behind almost every hitter that inning and had to work his out of trouble. You could tell he was out of gas. Only got out of that inning because undisciplined Detroit hitters chased balls out of the zone and got themselves out. As soon as I saw Dunning being marched back out there for the 5th, I knew it was over. Single, walk, HR. There goes what would have been a strong 4 inning start for first game back since TJ.

I was watching that shite live when it happened and had to rewind because I didn’t believe it. His on air apology in the middle of a Casty HR was so surreal.
