You could have started looking for a new owner 8 hours ago

Ron my team shouldn’t even be in the playoffs to begin with. I know what it used to take and this isn’t it
You have a really good offense and managed your pitching to be average and that got you in, let’s not act like you have some shite team.

earl forgets he has a team for half the year
I'm gonna take the high road on this, but I will say the following:
I follow and manage my team continuously. All year long. Just because I don't feel the need to pimp every minor league player I own every time he hits a HR doesn't mean I'm MIA. It's true that I used to catch the red arse much more often about fantasy sports, but that's mostly a product of having kids and being more patient. Fantasy baseball is truly one of my favorite things to participate in. And I take it very seriously. It's the distraction I often need when other shite in life is fricking me up. I send out beaucoup trade offers throughout the season and off-season. I can count on one hand the number of times I've not set my lineup or didn't respond to a trade offer. I comb through minor league stats all the way down to the Dominican. I can't help it if y'all think otherwise. But that's the truth.
Now fantasy football is something I do just to have something to watch throughout football season. Nothing more. But fantasy baseball is my one particular harbor.

You’re a good owner earl.

So good you questioned if he was tanking last week right

Not surprised you can’t detect sarcasm.

I took it as a joke.

Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports that the Astros are calling up INF prospect Abraham Toro.
Toro, a fifth-round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, has registered a .324/.411/.527 batting line with 17 home runs, 31 doubles, 80 RBI, four stolen bases, and 82 runs scored in 114 games this season between Double-A Corpus Christi and Triple-A Round Rock. Since his August 1 promotion to Triple-A, he was slashing .424/.506/.606 in 79 plate appearances. The 22-year-old could play a lot of third base while Alex Bregman fills in at shortstop for the injured Carlos Correa.
Next Nolan Arenado here. Astros about to take over the sport.

But where is Kyle Tucker? Blocked by Josh Reddick

Athletics C prospect Sean Murphy homered twice on Wednesday for Triple-A Las Vegas.
Murphy now has nine homers with the Aviators this year, and he's in double-digits if you count the homer he hit in the AZL during his rehab. Injuries have limited the backstop to just 34 games this year, but he's really hit well when he has been on the field with a slash of .366/.441/.742 in his time in the PCL. On top of that, Murphy is a strong defensive catcher, so you don't have to worry about him flipping positions; at least not in the short-term. Murphy looks ready to go, and could get a chance to play for the A's this September.

It's getting to be pretty comical at this point.
Reddick is sporting a .179/.226/.217/.443 line since the All-Star break.
Meanwhile Tucker is at 85/32/94/29 in 116 AAA games. OPS above .900 on the season despite starting off slow.
Nothing against Toro though, I'm excited for him. I don't think Mayfield is the answer.

Ryan Pressly will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee tomorrow, sidelining him four-to-six weeks, Jeff Luhnow said. The Astros are hoping Pressly can return for the final days of the regular season but this obviously casts into doubt his availability.
cool

So did Boston play today??? On Fantrax it shows no game today. My bats are in regardless, but ERod pitched today, Fantrax shows him pitching tomorrow. He’s on my bench today and in the lineup tomorrow. WTF??
Posted on 8/22/19 at 8:14 pm to cwill
No, Boston did not play today.
