Indeed. Would be a good fit for someone that has the room to stash him for a year until he takes over full time.

In his Grapefruit League debut, Forrest Whitley retired all six men he faced — with three strikeouts. He threw 23 pitches. Seventeen of them were strikes. Whitley sat 95-96 with his fastball, showed feel for his cutter and changeup. Blew 94 by Michael Conforto to end his outing.

Gattis for Whitley

And people wonder why prospects are so valued in this league.

I believe in trades they are undervalued

Hell, I should be on this list too: Sixto and FT2 for Justin Bour was declined

Hey... Samardzija and Andrew Miller.

Just sucked that Miller proceeded to get hurt and miss all of our fantasy playoffs.

Back when those trades were made, sure. But after watching how those ended up turning out, it seems that prospect value has skyrocketed and owners are hesitant to move on from them. Take FT2, for example. You have added, dropped, and traded prospect after prospect in the past, but have never really shown that you would even consider moving him.

I'm just as guilty of it.
