I guess all the MLB teams just assume that they are coming back for another year at LSU?
They asked for more money than what MLB was willing to go. Signability.
The MLB Draft moves so fast, teams just go down their list calling prospects asking if they would take X amount. If they say no, they move on.

What usually happens on top of wat wisey said Is that they get to a point after the first 5-10 rounds if they monetary demands arent going to be met, they just tell teams they are going back to school. Which is why Watson lasts until round 40. Desperation pick at the point with very little hope they sign him

Well, I guess it's a good thing for LSU baseball then.

They were also both draft eligible sophomores, meaning they were 21 by draft date or 45 days after the draft date. They have more leverage than juniors as they still have two more years of draft eligibility, so they can make some pretty hard and fast demands as far as money. Especially with Hess and Watson because they both had down years so its unlikely they are in any worse position for next years draft.
Leverage rankings
1) High Schooler
2) Draft eligible Sophomore/JUCO
3) College Juniors

if the dude can ever get a better approach and walk just a little more.
No reason he shouldn't be a 320 hitter with his speed (babip) and with his power potential should be a 400+ OBP guy.
But he's remained just 60 points higher from his OBP to BA the first two years.
Really frustrated with his progression this year.

Watson has tools but I agree with wisey not enough walks, too many Ks. He’s a very poor mans Mahtook at this point
Plus plus speed & prob 50 grade power when he’s on, He isn’t an elite CF but he can be

That moment when the announcement of a starter being scratched inside the 5-minute Fantrax window

I think Bellinger is back - 3 games, 3 HRs. Now if I could just get some consistency from Gray and Stroman...

This is my progression on a light schedule Thursday where I still have 7 batters having games today.....then red dots keep popping up on all but two of them.

I'm sure you share my anger of going against a below average offense and having them pop off the same week you do.
Posted on 6/7/18 at 3:54 pm to swamie
my team hasn't hit a HR in over a week. IDKWTF you're talking about.

you're 2nd in OBP through today and you were 4th in SLG before today.
I didn't mean strictly home runs, I'm just lucky your team's Runs and RBI aren't following the ratios.

Razzing DJ over his overhyped shitty pitchers is all I have right now.
Miles Mikolas limited the Marlins to an unearned run and three hits over seven innings to earn a win Thursday.
Mikolas' line in 12 starts this year looks no different from what he was doing in Japan; he's 7-1 with a 2.27 ERA. He's walked a total of nine batters in 79 1/3 innings. Up next for the 29-year-old right-hander is another favorable matchup at home against the Padres. Keep razzing Rondo!!

if the space in your head wasn't so cheap, I wouldn't be snatching it all up.
