rondo, streaming doesn't really bother me, but if we are going to strive to make this league better the IP stat definitely needs to be fixed.

There’s gotta be something to this pine tar theory with Houston. Morton’s breaking stuff is so much nastier now than it was when he was in Pittsburgh.

Average FB velo first 9 years in the league was 92.

I’d say something’s up

And it has movement. I used to watch him pitch all the time when he would go up against the Reds and that fastball was flat as frick.

Morton made that velocity jump in his last year with the Phillies.

He was hurt for virtually that entire season, but I remember he was K’ing at a much higher rate and the velocity was up in his like 3 or 4 starts.

I added him that offseason when he signed with the Astros because of that, but gave up too soon

Fangraphs says 94.3 in 2016 with the Phillies. That was up from 92 the previous year.

And he only pitched 17 innings that year with all of his starts coming in April — the coldest month.

He did something then, and Houston noticed. Stros added some spin rate to it, dove a little more into the analytics, and voila.

Gyno trying to quit the league before Morton and Didi get busted.

After watching Bundy get a QS from what I thought was a much uglier outing than Tropeano who was pulled at 5.1, I thought FIP was definitely the way to go.

Then i was given this

Bundy FIP - 5.45
Tropeano FIP - 6.11

Well shite. I still love some FIP though.

This had to be sarcasm when we were discussing the IP change.
