My inability to manage my SP staff has killed me this season. Think I have left 8+ QS on my bench so far. Then some RPs that I have relied on for a couple of years now are getting crushed early this season and before I know it, my staff ERA for the week is over 5. Shitty roster management is shitty
I wont be starting Lance Lynn @ NYY against you today which, if the way my staff has worked this year, almost guarantees another QS left on my bench.

Well I was basically forced to start Odorizzi against those bastards because I’m only carrying nine pitchers. That worked out well.

His plate discipline is fine this year, he's swinging at more stuff in the zone and less stuff out than last year. His contact has been weaker.
Could be his hand-eye is taking a step down or he's just been a bit unlucky. I'm guessing the latter.
He's also having the hard time getting the ball in the air and his BAPIP is pretty low considering his LD%.
He's also probably frustrated because the reds suck dick.

quote:
The Brewers announced Wednesday that first baseman/outfielder Eric Thames has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb. Right-hander Brandon Woodruff has been recalled from Triple-A to fill Thames’ spot on the roster.
Milwaukee didn’t provide a timeline for Thames’ absence, though this type of injury has cost players anywhere from six to eight weeks in the past and typically requires surgical repair. Yadier Molina (twice), Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Dustin Pedroia are among the notable names to have experienced a UCL tear in the thumb over the past few seasons.
