About as dumb as Walker leading off for the Yankees today.
For every legitimate gripe about something Dusty did because it was old school, I can bitch about these managers trying to get too fancy.
Last night Counsell has the entire infield shifted past second base for Hosmer. He poked two singles where Arcia would’ve easily thrown him out.
I know Cain and Yelich aren’t leadoff hitters either, but I’d think they wouldn’t be bad there. It’s not like Thames was great at leading last year.

Joe Panik, Nick Ahmed’s, Corey Spangenberg, Tim Anderson, and Freddy Galvis have 7 HR between them.
Goldy, Harper, Judge, Bellinger, and J.D. have 0
Braun’s an upgrade, but not an extra year of $20M and prospects of an upgrade.
