I barely followed the case.
I figured they both had plenty to do with the outcome.

all the public knew early on that smith was shot in the back, unarmed, no gun in the car. it later came out he had a gun in the car. i wanted to wait for the autopsy to confirm where the shots entered smith, if witnesses saw him w the gun, etc
if you followed the case, all law professionals took the same stance. doesnt seem outrageous to me, but the saints fan on TD immediately took it as Hayes truther. just look how up in arms those tards get over something like the pro bowl. smith getting shot was like the kennedy assassination to them.
