wait, Ellsbury goes through waivers but Karns doesn't?
Not getting all up in arms over Karns, but I'm sure there will be other add/drops later this offseason.

Anyone that was added to a roster this offseason doesn't go through waivers because no MLB games were played from the time they were picked up and then dropped.

It came up a few times the past two years. Its something Fantrax does to "prevent waiver churning," which is adding players and then dropping them to prevent someone else from picking them up during a scoring period.

i added karns after fernandez died. I dont remember exaclty when. I know fernandez died during the playoffs
