Trade a potential playoff team for a 3 year rebuild?

That team wasn't winning no ships the way it was when I decided to rebuild. And again, it wont be a three year rebuild. This year is a wash, but next year will be competitive.

There's a plan in place, and its constantly in motion.

I see a lot of what ifs and also accounting for growing pains of young players even if they turn out to be good.

You don't think Kopech stays SP? He's my fav prospect of yours

You see projections. It changes constantly. Some will exceed expectations and some wont reach expectations. That's where wheeling and dealing will come into play. I have every intention of entering next season as a contender. Is that too ambitious? Maybe. But 2019 is definitely not unrealistic. Two years of rebuilding is probably worth it in a dynasty league if you play your cards right.

As for Kopech, I expect both he and Cease to at least start their careers in the bullpen. I'm actually ok with it, and if they end up being starters, even better.

That's a little too much Jorge Soler for my liking.

Meh. Bench bat is a bench bat. He's still got time to figure it out, but he's not even seeing the field these days. Some time in Omaha might do him well.

That's not a contender's attitude, Redd. Good luck in 2020.

T&P need 1B and OF if anyone is selling.

Sal Perez headlines the OTB.
Napoli and Schimpf are cheap boppers.
Vmart is a steady Util bat.

You traded him for another player who sucked and you rostered

It was a poorly calculated move. That's ok to admit. You have much worse players than Zobrist. A bad team trading off an asset for nothing is bad

I had 4 2nd baseman. I needed pitching. Tomlin was close to what I was looking for based on his numbers last season.
