Talk to me. How do we fix it?
Posted on 2/7/17 at 10:56 pm to reddman
Do we create a rule that says that all players dropped in the offseason must go through waivers?
We can do it, but it's a matter of making sure that those parameters are set manually at the end of each season

+1
I was looking at one team's roster (CQQ) then clicked on over to Chat's and thought I was losing my mind.

the reason it is the way it is: a team could theoretically pick up every available SP on the last day of a scoring period through six add/drops.
just adding a player and then immediately dropping him. the current setup doesnt allow that to happen. it makes anyone that has been picked up be required to have a game played in MLB before they are required to go through waivers.

Seems like a solid rule to me

Rule is fine, just sucks during the offseason.
Posted on 2/7/17 at 11:13 pm to reddman
Which is fine
Put em all to waivers
Put em all to waivers

So you would be ok with a guy being able to pick up and drop every available position you may need in order to win a category just because he could?

Is there a way we can enforce all waivers during the offseason then switch it back to its current setting during the regular season?

You're confusing me
I thought you were talking about the offseason

Yes, MWG that is possible. It just takes a little more work on the admin side. Not impossible though.
Posted on 2/7/17 at 11:27 pm to GynoSandberg
I'd be fine changing it for offseason only.
Posted on 2/7/17 at 11:28 pm to swamie
It's a solid rule but the off-season loophole is dumb

I tried to add soroka and Appel right after they were dropped, then this dude picks up ellsbury right when he was dropped. Doesn't make sense now. I agree it's needed for reg season
