I think so. What is our target date for the draft to start? Also, how will future drafts look like? Rookie draft only? How many rounds?

Future drafts should be rookie only

Nonetheless said he wanted to target trying to start the draft for end of June. And yeah, at some point if people don't sign up then we need to look for replacements. Maybe by the end of this week I guess.
Rookie only draft. Probably include free agents in the draft, but they'll be pretty deep names. Should be 3 or 4 rounds. In a 14 team rookie only draft things get really thin heading into rounds 3 and 4. Draft order should be some variation of reverse standing order like the real draft. There are some options and details to hammer out there to discourage tanking like lotteries, etc. I can try to go over that some more later to discuss options when I get home this evening.

I'm not worried about getting this thing filled. If push comes to shove we do 12 teams instead of 14

Balagan is my cousin fyi. He's played in other td leagues

I suggest 12 teams and possibly having more than 5 bench players

Rosters will be big. 25-30.

I say 12 teams. 14 teams is 350 players if we do 25 man roster.

Yeah, I'm fine with 12 team league. Might actually be better for a superflex league.

How about a payout of
$800 1st
$300 2nd
$100 3rd
$800 1st
$300 2nd
$100 3rd

I'm fine with that. Maybe make a poll on sleeper asking to with a yes/no option.

I will wait until we get everybody to join
Posted on 6/11/19 at 2:34 pm to Cajunsaints
Good with me. Is that with 12 members or 14?
Posted on 6/11/19 at 2:40 pm to Nonetheless
That's with 12. $1200 total pot.

I kind of like 14 in dynasty, keeps teams from getting too stacked and the parity allows teams to move up quicker, but obviously if 12 is all we can get that’ll work too.
I also like the lottery idea for future drafts to prevent tanking if sleeper has that function.
Payouts are fine, doesn’t really matter to me.

I'm kind of salty on the idea of a lottery. I feel like it's bad for parity. For example, in the other TD dynasty league a team that barely missed the playoffs just because of inopportune injuries got the 1.01 the year Saquon came out... then he traded Saquon, but still it's a rich getting richer situation that shouldn't really have an opportunity to happen imo. I'll go along with it if it's what people want, but I kind of want to caution against it.
Bottom dweller teams should get those top picks to give them something to look forward to to keep them engaged and to give them a chance to build up. I think more fair ideas are doing something like draft order based off of potential points for non-playoff teams (which I'm pretty sure sleeper supports) in combination with maybe a bottom feeder penalty and also the understanding that tanking will not be tolerated and will lead to a boot.
I do want to say that there's a difference between tanking and selling off assets in an attempt to tear down and rebuild. The latter is a valid strategy.
