He was a safety in college primarily but got some run at RB.

The Lions are enamored with him. They think he has fantastic natural ability and has just scratched the surface of his potential at RB.

But most importantly, they used significant draft capital on him. They used a 4th rounder this year and traded a 2025 4th rounder to move up.

Yet his ownership is way behind a bunch of undrafted guys like Frank Gore Jr or Dillon Johnson that likely won’t even make the roster.

I know the Lions have two studs ahead of him but injuries happen and they didn’t use two 4th rounders on him to keep him on the practice squad all year.

How long do we think before he overtakes Gibbs and Montgomery? Second half of season?

He might be a special package player. Probably would pass as running backs are a dime a dozen and if the two studs get hurt, no doubt they would bring in a name guy.

Kimani Vidal for me. He has an avenue to playing time with the Ravens’ retreads ahead of him.

That's the first time I ever heard Derrick Henry called a retread
