What do you guys think about this trade proposal? I would be trading Antonio Brown in exchange for Deandre Hopkins and Michael Thomas.

My other WR's are Maclin, Cobb, Desean, Rishard, and JJ Nelson.

I'm currently 2-0 and in 1st place....another owner offered this to me but I'm not really feeling it. The other guy also has Julio, so this would allow him to pair Julio with Antonio.

I would counter with something like Brown-Desean for Julio-Hopkins, but I've also got Devonta Freeman. Pairing Freeman with Julio would really make those Coleman and Sanu TD's sting like a bitch.

No chance. Can’t let him pair those two

Not only that, but you wouldn't have anything close to a weekly wr2. You would be playing matchups every week at wr2 and flex. That's dangerous IMO.

Eta: Yeah. I misread that. I'm an idiot. Everyone look at me and laugh.

What? He's getting Hopkins and Thomas in this scenario, that's two WR1's

Side note: I was able to pair Julio and Evans last year and coasted to a league title (had Bell and Murray at RB though)

Hopkins is stuck with a rookie qb in a horrible offense, and Thomas hasn't done much this year despite his team being behind in both games and needing to throw on every down.

Brown is one of the top fantasy wr's, and you are giving him away for 2 guys that may not finish the year as wr1's.

He will win the league with those two at WR

Yes....I'm the one that has Antonio right now. The other guy offered me Hopkins and Thomas in exchange for Antonio.

My thoughts exactly....just wanted to bounce the scenario off some other guys to see what the consensus was.

Not sure if you've noticed but Hopkins is a target monster with Watson at QB. Despite facing decent defenses he's had 7 catches in both games and I would wager he's leading the league in targets right now.

Brown-Desean for Julio- Hopkins....really doubt he would take that but you'd be trade raping him. His end game is pairing Brown with Julio

He's def getting targets, but.....

Full disclosure, I had Hopkins last year in a PPR league and it was a burden. I couldn't rightly bench him just because of 'what if" and also because of who I had available on the bench. Was able to package him up with another player and deal him for OBJ mid-season.

Maybe, but again I'd rather not de-diversify my portfolio by pairing Julio with Freeman.....I guarantee Sanu, Coleman, and Co would see a large uptick in TD's once I did that.

Nothing I've seen this year from Hopkins looks similar to last year, Osweiler was that bad. You can't really go wrong either way. Doing the trade downgrades your WR1 but I think it upgrades your WR position.

I see it as covering your bases. Best RB and best WR from the best offense in the league. We know the falcons are going to put up yards and points every week and you'd have their top options across two positions.

Would you turn down a chance to have Bell and Brown?

FWIW, in 2015 I had Hopkins and Foster and they were both scoring 20-25 points a game nearly every week. That is when Foster was healthy and they had Hoyer and Mallett as QBs, not Ryan. It can work.

It can def work...I just try to avoid it if possible. It's all moot anyway....I countered with a scaled back offer of DeSean/Maclin for either Hopkins or Thomas and we've both decided to stand pat.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
