It's possible I voted wrong on that one. Which one was doesn't pay out regular season champ? I thought the main difference was higher payout for 1st and less for 2nd and regular season champ. Might have read it too fast.

I think you wrote that those are not final figures and they would be discussed more?

I want to reward Reg season champ, playoff champ, weekly winners.

Whatever option best profiles that.

Same reason 2016 GSW didn't receive a trophy for going 79-3 or the 07 Patriots . You don't play for regular season titles.

And I'd advocate for less for runner up and 3rd too.

Yes i was just providing examples of the money. I was more interested in the breakdown

You have $1,400 to break up between Overall, Regular, and Runner up. Third place receives the $25 bottom feeder penalty, weekly high scorer gets $25

Overall Champ
Regular Season Champ
Overall Runner Up
3rd Place (bottom feeder $25)
Weekly High Scorer - $25 per week

You get shite for winning western conf and AFC though. Overall champ still gets more $

If you truly have the best team, you go out and win reg season, playoffs, maybe a few weekly high scorers and you make yourself some nice coin

Seems like it was just 1 with how the polls were phrased.

Also, does the first week of playoffs have a weekly high score winner? Because right now there is $25 to be allocated for 14 weeks. Or does that $25 go to another pot?

Is 1 bottom feeder firm? I was thinking at least two maybe three -- and that money (like you said) goes to third place team.

So $1400 total in pot. Minus $325 for weekly scoring (25x13)

Leaves 1,075 to divide b/n regular season champ, playoff champ, runner-up

I think $200 to runner-up about right.

ETA: where did I get $1400 from?

Well here's your little trophy that doesn't get you the parade.

Regular season $200 then weekly points. Rest for the whole enchilada.

I see. You took the $325 already out.

No, the $1400 is remaining after the weekly $25 bonus.

$1400 was the amount of the pot before $25 each was added to pay for the weekly high scorer. But we have an extra $25 because of how that part of the fee was added. So really we have $1450 to divide among overall winner, regular season winner, 2nd and 3rd, assuming that we only have 1 bottom feeder penalty. And the weekly winner payouts are already taken care of.

The actual amount is $26 and change i believe, I am just using the easier number of $25

Nothing is firm, I am fine with that. 7 teams wont make the playoffs, i just dont know that close to half of that 7 should pay a fee. But it doesnt matter to me

And then $50 for 3rd, and that would work, at least mathematically.

So we're playing for $1200. That sounds like a worthy amount to win this thing.

I played in a 60 team/6 division league where they broke up the payouts so much that out of $7,500, if you won the whole thing I think the total payout was around $1,300 for being the champ. But you also got $500 for advancing out of your division. Still less than $2,000 out of $7,500 was something I always advocated against.

They said we had to make it interesting for everyone else. frick everyone else. If a pot of $7,500 isn't enough to interest you, then don't play.

FYI, I am very agnostic on how we do the payout for this league. I was just asked to explain.
