Got it.

Sorry for the delay. Schedule shouldn't be like this after today

I think you are good. I think most of us just wanted the league rules and settings ironed out, and draft order set.

I guess the next big thing is just figuring out the money.

Flatter payout structure could be another incentive to not tank.

What do you mean exactly?

Give me an example of what you're thinking plz

Examples would be

1) weekly winner payouts- high score for the week gets paid a set amount
2) paying more places at end of season/paying more to non champion finishes

My thinking is we want to make the cost/benefit analysis tougher when it comes to the decision to sell assets and tank vs attempt to compete through the end of the regular season.

Ah I see. We did the weekly thing in another league on here to try and keep interest. Only $10 though, I don't think it was that effective. A higher payout per week may be though

We gotta stretch $1400 @ $100 per owner. If everyone were to throw up $125, we could allocate $25 per week for 13 weeks for high weekly scorer and not touch the $1400

Personally I like to see reg season winner not be shorted. Much harder to lead for 13 weeks than it is to win a 3 week tourney in the playoffs

I would say pay out reg season champion, overall champion, overall runner up, then see what we can allocate to week to week high scorers

I think we are all working too hard to find the ideal situation. How about people not be shitty owners?

record wise or total points?

Record wise, most points break a tie if two have same record at the top

Most wins in a top bottom is most telling. Consistently best team

You could score 300 one week and 80 the next kinda thing, skews most points

I like this.

I seriously wanna kick dudes out the league for intentionally tanking.

I think ultimately this is the actual method that is most likely to be effective. You keep kicking people out who show poor sportsmanship until you are left with a group that has proven over time to not be shitheads. It's a long term strategy for sure.

Replacing people in a dynasty league does present some special challenges though.

You want to draft a league constitution?

Maybe not. We can incentivize a new potential owner with an additional draft pick, and/or not making him pay a bottom feeder penalty for that year.

I don't see it being a huge issue in football. It's too easy to make a bad team good year year

As long as people are setting lineups w their best players we will be fine

If you're leaving bye week guys in you'll just get the boot

Yeah, you would have to incentivize it somehow. It probably would have to be negotiated at the moment with the indiviual. Anyway, we don't have to worry about that for at least a year and hopefully longer than that.
