Anyone Worried About Bell?

Le'Veon Bell will undergo an MRI on his right foot Tuesday. The initial diagnosis on Bell was a mid-foot sprain. As ESPN's Adam Schefter notes, this injury sometimes turns into a Lisfranc fracture -- an injury that would cripple the second-round rookie's season. For now, all the Steelers can do is hold their breath. Bell's projected backup, Isaac Redman, produced 410 yards on 110 carries (3.72 YPC) and lost three fumbles last year.

Luckily, the draft I just picked him in was a mock.

yes worried about him considering he missed the first game with knee issues, then re- injuried it in a scrimage, and then last night he went out. Thank god we have not had our real draft yet!

One of the 209349034 reasons I urge people to be patient and hold their drafts until later. Ideally after third preseason games.
Hopefully the MRI is just a precaution though.

Did they just make up Lisfranc? I never fricking heard of this. Now it seems like everybody has this injury. Wtf?

Probably wasnt gonna draft him anyway.

The only thing concerning is they haven't released the MRI diagnosis yet.

No way Redman can be the backup after what dwyer did last night

I think Redman is first on the depth chart, for whatever that's worth.

He was expected to start for me

Exactly. If possible, do it this coming weekend or if you can get away with it Labor Day weekend, do it next. Otherwise, you will get this type of BS.

I would have to agree.

Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain, and could be sidelined "a while."
It appears Bell has avoided a Lisfranc injury, but as Bouchette points out, any mid-foot sprain is a big issue for a running back. It's safe to rule Bell out for the rest of the preseason, and consider him questionable for Week 1. Bell has 19 days to get healthy. The Steelers would likely go with a committee of Isaac Redman, Jonathan Dwyer and La'Rod Stephens-Howling in the opener if their prized rookie runner isn't ready. The Steelers seem to have a remarkably difficult time keeping linemen and runners healthy.

Le'Veon Bell is getting a second opinion on his foot injury.Second opinions can be scary because they suggest that the player or team was not happy with the original opinion. In this case, Bell's initial diagnosis was a mid-foot sprain. That injury can vary greatly in terms of severity and rehab time, so we suspect Bell could be meeting with a foot specialist such as Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte. All the Steelers have said is that their second-round rookie will not play in this week's preseason game and they are awaiting a final diagnosis

Taking him off my draft board

But I just saw this:

The team has not completely diagnosed Bell's injury at this point.
Whatever it is, it doesn't bode well.
