So I was thinking how often can you go to the waiver wire and grab somebody who can produce respectable numbers for a single week.
Like if your starting stud QBRBWRTE Is out what’s the percent chance you can get starter production from someone not likely to be on a team?
Seems like QB is the easiest and Tight End would be the hardest to get emergency starter points.
If I had data Isolated for every week, I could compare the average weekly production of the 5th best QB & TE and the 12th best RB/WR….to see how often all other players at the respective positions post weeks exceeding the worst “stud” starter’s average.
My interest in this is to try to prioritize those positions that are hardest to substitute.
My hypothesis is that Tight End is the most difficult to replace.

Probably pretty high, but picking the right waiver trash is half the battle. Also depends on league settings, I have a deep dynasty where waivers are utterly unplayable.
My guess in a typical redraft league
QB
WR (there will certainly be a high scorer on waivers but picking the right one is tough)
RB (feast or famine, if a starter goes down and his backup is unowned then…)
TE - hardly startable guys on rosters already
