These guys have been getting it done but with little fanfare. Here is my lineup of guys producing on the down low.

C Mike Napoli

Dude was written off in his move to Fenway, despite his gaudy numbers in that park. He's near the top in almost all categories for catchers and has 1B eligibility.

1B Michael Cuddyer

Can my man Cuddy get some love? Everyone was all over him last year in his move to Coors, but he disappointed. He fell in drafts this year and now owners are reaping the benefits. 1.018 OPS?!? And OF eligibility? I'll take it!

2B Kelly Johnson

Well hello, Kelly Johnson! This guy has always shown flashes of having POP! in Toronto. He seems to have put it together thus far this season, even out OPS'n Robby Cano. He leads the Rays in POP! and has dual eligibility at 2B/OF.

3B Josh Donaldson

This Oakland 3sacker is near the top in almost all offensive cats for 3B, but he is rarely mentioned. 3B is always the classic case of people slurping to names, but this guy is producing under the radar. Wish there was a love button!

SS Jean Segura

NUFF SAID BRO! This man has done it all, from POP! to speed to scoring runs. He made an appearance on Louie T's all Sleeper List in early 2013 and has not disappointed since. Looking like a HanRam in his hayday.

OF Dom Brown

Been on Lester Earl's list of potential playas for 3 seasons, and now if finally displaying that sweet lefty POP! a fantasy owner covets. As summer heats up in Philly, look for this guy to continue swinging it.

OF Hunter Pence

Gotta throw some love to this guy. He's consistent as anyone year in and year out but awlays falls down draft boards. He is putting up nice power numbers in spacious SF while also swiping some bags for fantasy owners. He's goofy as frick but gets the job done.

OF Alex Gordon

I have been a Gordon naysayer in years past, but the guy is just solid all around. He is the only Royal who has come to play in 2013. If he can start stealing some bags, he may move up a tier in Big Gyne's Fantasy Rankings

SP Jeff Samardjiza

Dude is a hoss. Not only is he K'ing almost 10 per 9, his ERA is under 3 and his WHIP sits at 1.05. He plays for a shitty team so he won't see many wins, but his QS total is sitting at a nice 7.

SP Hishashi Iwakuma

How underrated is this guy? All I hear is people talking about "Oh, should I trade for Matt Cain or David Price or Tim Lincecum??11" Derp derp, how about a guy like Iwakuma? All the dude does is produce when he toes the slab. We are talking numbers here, not names. Dude has been sicker than SARS (see also Ryu. Dont want 2 asians on here, though).

SP Jake Peavy

Former Cy Young put up numbers last year. Most thought it was an anomaly, but he is doing it again this year while no one is watching. We forget how dominate this guy was. Fact of the matter is, he has been durable the last 2 seasons and his numbers reflect that.

RP Jason Grilli

I give 0 fricks about closers, but it's hard to deny what this guy has done. A former 1st rounder who has had a shitty career up until this year. He is flat out dominating and is your #1 fantasy closer by a wide margin. His is Eric Gagne without the clear shades.

I would add Mike Minor to your list only because RonZom said he was not a keeper in a 16 team 12 playa keeper league.

I can see Minor. But he gets huge hype from the Bravetards. They have Sandy Koufax, a young AROD, Willie Mays, and Mariano Rivera all on one team. And BJ Upton is still a good player

Homer alert!

There's a guy pitching in the same division with a better K/9, more QS, better ERA, lower ADP and is FIPing hard on a team that's actually winning and he still doesn't get the recognition.

Good call on Johnny P. Who do you think regresses?

Swamie, who? Lance Lymn?

He's been good. He's been getting love since last year though. And he was good years ago. But I have room for 2 guys in my rotation. Taking nominees.

5/2/2013 - Napoli's pace unsustainable? ... When BOS discovered Mike Napoli's (1B, BOS) degenerative bone disorder in his hips during a physical this offseason, they reduced their contact offer to him from three years to one. With a league-leading 27 RBI thus far, Napoli is making an April case for an extension.
Year AB BA xBA bb% ct% h% G/L/F HR PX hr/f BPV
==== === ==== ==== === === === ======== == === ==== ===
2009 382 .272 .259 9 73 32 38/19/43 20 143 17% 45
2010 453 .238 .264 8 70 28 38/20/42 26 166 19% 49
2011 369 .320 .316 14 77 35 39/20/41 30 199 25% 119
2012 352 .227 .239 14 64 28 40/19/41 24 169 26% 41
2013 100 .280 .274 6 64 40 27/25/48 4 230 13% 73
But it's hard to believe he can keep this up: •Out-of-this-world PX is driving BA and xBA with help from an unsustainable h%.
•Fenway's Green Monster may be the culprit behind the hr/f% dive. Could be coincidence, but Napoli also leads the majors with 13 doubles.
•Enjoy the BA while you can?not only is he still hacking away at a mid-60's ct% clip, but his typically astute batting eye has also disappeared.

Hell, Travis Wood has been pretty damn solid this year on a bad team.

My boy Kelly Johnson. Sad I traded him. I pimp him every year.

They could regress. I'm talking up to this point.

Sabermeyrics suggested guys like Segura and Carlos Gomez would regress weeks ago and they have just gotten better. It tells some of the story but isn't gospel IMO

Dom Brown is going to crash and burn. Dude's peripherals and underlying stats are atrocious.

Admittedly I haven't watched him much this year and am not sure how much his swing change makes a difference here, but his HR/FB rate is nowhere close to sustainable. His HR/FB %s the last 2 years were sub 10%. It's currently sitting at 26%.
