1994 ROY Bob Hamelin hit 24 HRs in 374 plate appearances. He then went on to hit 41 HRs over the next five years combined and was then out of baseball forever.
Josh Fields 23 in 410. Followed by 35 PA's the next season

Tyler Colvin hit 9 less HR's in 200 less AB's and barely is a major leaguer anymore, just saying

All valid points.
Though Colvin was also stabbed in the chest with a bat, which I'm sure had some mental bearing on him. Bob Hamlin was fat. And Fields still hasn't gotten consistent playing time since his rookie year
None of that happened to Trumbo. If he wasn't hurt, people would be all over him. Kendry Morales was traded a month ago and he hasnt played in 2 years
I could go on and list the guys who hit 25+ their rookie year and have made multiple all star games.
The season will play out and we will see who's on top

I certainly don't think that Trumbo is going to go the way of Bob Hamelin. I was just fricking around when I had the time.

Howard's OBP in his rookie 22 HR year: 0.3563
Trumbo's OBP last year: 0.2914
Trumbo's OBP last year: 0.2914

The timidness towards Trumbo is nothing a few sping dings wont cure
