As per Rotoworld:

Jose Tabata (OF, Pirates) Current ADP: 222.57

The day of the sleeper may be dead, but by this early data, some people are still missing the boat on Tabata. The 22-year-old outfielder batted .299 with 61 runs scored and 19 stolen bases in just 102 games with the Pirates last season. It wouldn't be crazy to think he can score 80 runs and steal 30 bases with a full season's worth of at-bats. Considering that Domonic Brown and Desmond Jennings -- two guys who aren't a lock to even be in the major leagues on Opening Day -- are currently being drafted before him, Tabata is the very definition of undervalued.

Hope you enjoyed it Rondo....

Lots of sites have been pimping him this offseason. The one I am currently importing projections from doesn't care for him too much though.

30sb/80 runs wouldnt make him a keeper, imo.

he'd have to hit 15 HRs or so to get to that level for me. Which would be McCutchen/Victorino/Upton territory.

until he does that he is on a bourn/pierre/gardener level.

somewhere in the middle would be angel pagan

LOLWUT

McCutchen/Vic/Upton arent LAST keeper types.

We're talking about my LAST keeper.

In the 180 range of players.

If he hits 15 hrs and he is my worst keeper I am elated.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said Wednesday that Michael Young will get regular at-bats this season despite the club's new additions.

It's been a tough offseason for Young's psyche. First the Rangers added third baseman Adrian Beltre on a massive free agent contract, pushing Young into a DH role. Then the Rangers traded for Mike Napoli, who is likely to get looks at DH when he's not playing first base or catching. But Washington insisted Wednesday in a chat with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Young will be kept busy with starts at first base, second base, third base and designated hitter.

Given their financial commitments and needs on the roster, the 2012 Angels could really benefit from not paying Abreu $9 million to be a mediocre aging DH. In order to keep that from happening, they need to keep Abreu out of the line-up on a semi-regular basis in 2011, and they need to do it in a way that will give them a reasonable explanation for the move. If they just attempted to bench him in favor of a lesser player to keep the option from vesting, the union would file a grievance, and the whole thing would get messy.

i never said they were

i said Tabata would have to reach that level to be a keeper.

just stealing 30 bases and scoring 80 runs wouldnt make him a keeper for me. He'd have to flash some power.

So if he hits 15 bombs he is a stud (i.e. McCutch and Victorino) and if he hits 8 bombs he is waiver wire fodder???

Am I following you correctly here?

15 bombs wouldn't make him a stud. I don't see those other 2 guys as studs.

I never said he was a waiver wire player. Just not a keeper in my eyes.

the only mention i said about waivers is that you can get SBs off the waiver wire.

Maybe "stud" wasnt the right word.

But they are surefire keepers.

7 HRs isnt that big a deal to me over the course of 162 games IMO.

I think TaBOWta will hit 10 bombs fwiw.

thats not important since they arent on my team.

I feel Tabata is the best option I have for a 12th keeper.

I means its a 12th keeper.

frick.
