In other news, someone mentioned to me that with the overall pot being increased starting next year, it may be a good idea to look at how the money is being distributed at the end of the year.

Here is the current payout structure:
Total money collected: 960
League website fee: 150
Total Pot: 810

Best Regular Season Record: 60
Third Place Winner: 90
Second Place Winner: 180
First Place Winner: 480 + 30 dollar bottom feeder


The person that contacted me about the new payout thinks that it would be nice to see every playoff team get some kind of cut, and I tend to agree with him. Thus, the new proposal for payouts starting in 2012:

Total Money Collected: 1600
League Website Fee: 150 (hopefully it doesnt rise)
Total Pot: 1450

Best Regular Season Record: 100
Playoff teams that don't finish in top 3: 50 each (150 total)
Third Place: 150
Second Place: 300
First Place: 750

With this proposal, if you make the playoffs you are guaranteed half of your entry fee back. I think it's a pretty fair deal, and would help to keep people in the race longer without selling if they know they have a chance to get half their money back.


Thoughts? I plan on putting it to a vote sometime today unless people just totally hate the idea.
